SINGLE SUBSPECIALTY

Hi, I’m Dr Jon.

I’m an Australian-trained Orthopaedic surgeon with an interest and passion for the management of knee conditions, both elective and traumatic.

My training took me through multiple hospitals across New South Wales, where I gained experience in both trauma and elective Orthopaedic surgery as part of the Australian Orthopaedic Association’s rigorous training program. During my training, I focused on developing my knowledge and skills in both adult and paediatric knee conditions.

Further dedicating myself to knee surgery, I subsequently completed a subspecialty fellowship in Paediatric & Adult Knee Surgery, with time spent at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney.

Time to listen, explain and answer your questions, so you feel informed and involved.

Attention to detail.

Careful assessment, thoughtful planning and meticulous attention throughout your care.

A PASSION FOR KNEE SURGERY

Being a knee surgeon is both fascinating and rewarding.

Participating in a knee replacement as a medical student many years ago sparked an interest in Orthopaedics, and in particular, knee surgery. I continue to have that passion, so I feel very fortunate to have entered this field and find great satisfaction in treating patients.

SUPPORTING MY PATIENTS

I truly enjoy patient education and support.

My practice is centred on carefully listening to you, understanding your concerns and taking the time to provide treatment options. Any surgical procedures as well as their benefits and risks will be fully explained.

I understand that for most people surgery is very unfamiliar, so I’ll support you at each step of the process. However, not everyone needs surgery and I will not offer an operation unless I genuinely believe it is likely to improve your outcomes.

MY APPROACH

Every detail matters.

I keep up to date with advances in knowledge, technology and surgical techniques and carefully adopt those which I think will provide real benefit for my patients. When it comes to surgery, my focus is on meticulous planning, care and attention to detail for any operation.

I take pride in my work and want to see all my patients do well.

Outside of medicine,  I simply enjoy spending time with my wonderful wife and our two young sons… and playing tennis when I get the chance.
